ABOUT SIMMETRIC DRIVER PERFORMANCE LABS
By creating the first mobile driver coaching lab, SimMetric Labs aims to revolutionize the way drivers seek coaching while at race events, as well as away from the race track.
By utilizing a commercial-grade driving simulator in a custom-built, first-of-its-kind mobile coaching lab, we give drivers more track time in order to gain an advantage over their competitors in a safe, controlled environment. Our lab is not intended to replace the experience of driving on track, but rather to supplement the on-track experience.
Busy on-track schedules with unpredictable conditions during large race weekends means drivers have increasingly limited on-track practice time prior to qualifying and the subsequent races. We believe this track time is essential for increasing a driver's performance. The idea for a mobile simulator coaching lab began because we recognized a void in the driver coaching market. While many drivers opt for driving simulators as a preparation tool, simulators are almost never used throughout the course of a race event to continue performance development when more track time is simply unavailable.
Our suite of other coaching services beyond the simulator offer unique tools to drivers and their coaches to further develop their performance. From detailed timing reports to eye tracking glasses and much more, we want you to think of SimMetric Labs when you think of effective ways to go faster.
SIMMETRIC DRIVER PERFORMANCE LABS AIMS TO PROVIDE THE MOST EFFECTIVE DRIVER COACHING EXPERIENCE TO RACE CAR DRIVERS ON AN EVENT-BY-EVENT BASIS.
ABOUT THE SIMULATOR
SimMetric Labs features only the best American made driving simulator available - the CXC Motion Pro II. Used by professional drivers all around the world for training and race preparations, the Motion Pro II is the final answer in realistic driving simulators.
DOZENS OF CARS AND TRACKS
With our suite of driving simulation software, we have hyper-accurate models of most modern race cars competing in North America, validated by the professional drivers who win in them every weekend. Likewise, we have recent laser scan models of all professional circuits in North America, as well as many models of tracks elsewhere in the world. Contact us today to see if we have your desired car and circuit combination.
Our Motion Pro II driving simulator features three 75" 4K displays for near complete coverage of the driver's field of view. The displays provide maximum graphical fidelity and low latency. Looking for even more immersion? Try our Virtual Reality headset to fully step into your car's cockpit.
ULTIMATE REALISM TO FEEL THE LIMIT
In a race car, forces are generated and dissipated very rapidly. Our simulator's high-speed, low mass motion system has the ability to accurately recreate these forces without feeding your vestibular system false information like other simulators. You'll feel every bump, curb, gear shift, ABS lockup, and much more without motion sickness.
REAL RACECAR HARDWARE
With Tilton hydraulic clutch and brake pedals straight from a race car catalog, we can recreate the precise feel of the clutch and brake in your car, perfect for practicing threshold and trail braking. Coupled with seat belt tensioners, you'll also feel hyper-realistic braking forces to fully gauge your braking effectiveness in every corner like never before.
Our simulator's direct drive steering provides immediate feedback from the road, while our selection of steering wheels will match any racecar. Want your exact steering wheel in our sim? Speak to us and we can have your steering wheel adapted to work with full functionality in our simulator.
Racing an old-school car with an H-pattern or sequential shifter? We have you covered with our commercial grade shift levers.
MEET GREG DE GIORGIS
FOUNDER, OWNER, & PRESIDENT
Greg De Giorgis is a data engineer who has worked at various levels of motorsports for the past ten years. His background includes several seasons across the IMSA WeatherTech series, the IMSA Prototype Challenge Ferrari Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and Challenge Club Racing.
"When I first came to motorsports ten years ago, one thing that shocked me from the get go was how little practice time there was at professional race events. Total practice time prior to qualifying and the subsequent race(s) is extremely limited and unpredictable with red flags and variable weather conditions every session. This is a complete shame, because a driver's performance level during a race is directly effected by the amount of practice time they get beforehand. Shouldn't driving skill determine the race winner - not just who managed to find the most practice time? I want to tilt the playing field the other way, and SimMetric Labs offers drivers that ability."
- Greg De Giorgis
Greg has always loved motorsports. His first word was "car", spoken while watching the Indy 500 from his family's living room. He grew up in rural Pennsylvania where he started detailing Ferraris at a small race shop at 18.
He attended Pennsylvania State University, where he was heavily involved in their Formula SAE program as a Driver, Controls Engineer, and Team President. After graduating with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2014, Greg briefly worked at a Ferrari dealership, and at the same time began working in Ferrari Challenge. His motorsports career evolved from there.
